Whilst saving energy, money and reducing CO2 emissions is a key objective for public sector organisations, demonstrating their commitment to this process, in order to inspire others, is generally a secondary aspiration.
eco|Driver® was designed from day one to help organisations achieve savings in energy, costs and CO2 emissions, as easily as possible but also to provide transparency of this process and the organisation’s performance.
Selected by innovative local authorities and prominent central government departments, eco|Driver® (referred to as a type of ‘real-time energy display’ or RTD) is used to drive energy efficiency programmes and to promote their efforts and performance via local LCD displays and also via the web.
In response to a parliamentary question in February 2011, Mr Djanogly, Secretary of State for Justice stated ‘The Ministry of Justice has saved £140,673 in energy costs and 761.55 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions since bringing in real-time energy displays…’
