Using the webView they and their partners are easily able to access the real-time energy performance of each of their properties and this facility has enabled them to spot and resolve energy and utility performance issues.

The school has also installed a number of Electricity Sub meters to provide more detailed information.

Three Christchurch schools have been invovled in an Enviroschools Foundation pilot programme to develop an energy efficiency curriculum based around live energy use data captured by the ecoDriver® system. The outcome of the program is to develop eductional content that can be used throughout New Zealand by both primary and secondary schools to develop energy aware behaviour in future generatons and energy efficient practices in schools. The selected schoools are Linwood North Primary, Cashmere High School and Cashmere Primary. Christchurch Agency for Energy, along with the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) and the Ministry of Education provided funding for the pilot programme.
